LAVENDER LOVE: A DAY TRIP

A few weeks ago for my Mother’s birthday the whole family decided to take her to a sweet little lavender farm about 2 hours from where we live. Visiting a lavender farm was something Mum had been wanting to do for a while now and I am so glad we made it happen. The look of pure joy on her face when we surprised her with the news of our little trip was priceless.

While there not only were we engrossed by the sheer beauty of place but the many ways you can use lavender. Here I was thinking it was just a flower used in bath salts and perfumes! Call me naive but I was actually surprised you could eat this strongly scented flower.  After being enlightened to the culinary possibilities of lavender I got researching and here are a few of my favourite non- traditional ways to use lavender that I am dying to try!
